As the sun is shinning and everyone is off on their holidays, be will not be gathering at Wimbledon Methodist Church on Sunday evenings in August.

The stalwart of be church – just be – will continue throughout the summer. We meet every Monday, 7:30pm at Raynes Park Tavern.

be on Sundays will resume in September. More on that soon.

Starbucks staying open late on Monday to host a screening of the Age of Stupid, afterwhich we had a lively debate on action and responsibility in the Raynes Park tavern. Then again on Thursday, Starbucks was host to comedy and acoustic nights with our own guys; Chris, Theresa, Kit and Tom (as Two’s a crowd) and Dan Hoyes entertaining a full coffee shop.

The rest of the events have also gone really well and there is still stuff happening until Sunday. Check out the programme at www.myraynespark.co.uk

Tickets are £88 per person. But for every 10 tickets, we get an 11th free and the saving would be shared around the group. It would also be cool to pool resources for food, camping and transport, so we’ll work out costs and let everyone know what goes in the kitty.

It is starting to feel like summer is here! With Wimbledon gearing up for the tennis and pubs preparing for the footie, be church is delighted to announce our offering of gatherings for the next couple of months.

We meet every Sunday at Wimbledon Methodist Church at 7pm. just be continues on Monday nights in the Raynes Park Tavern at 7:30pm. We are currently reading What’s so amazing about Grace? by Philip Yancy. We would love to see you, so why don’t you come down one night!

This is just a quick shout out let you know what be church is up to for the next couple of months. We are still meeting every Sunday night at Wimbledon Methodist Church from 7pm. We also meet every Monday night at the Raynes Park Tarven from 7:30 for just be.

New on the scene is the “be @ the movies” night. In April we will be watching the awesome District 9 and in May we will be watch the Oscar winning An Education. Please come along – it will be a totally chilled night with munchies and a short chat about the film after – above all it’s free! So please do come along and invite your mates too!

The other gatherings will be looking at the new theme of the names of God – done with be church’s typical flair and topical finesse!

Hi everyone,

This Sunday we are hosting a public screening of the Age of Stupid, a documentary exploring Climate Change, by the same director of McLibel.
It’s an excellent film and the screening is free, so we do hope you are able to join us, please do invite your friends as well – we would love to see you all.

We will be at Wimbledon Methodist Church, Griffiths Road, Wimbledon. There will be food served from 6:30pm and the screen will start at 7pm prompt.
